Because most people with candida yeast infections also have allergies and because the symptoms of these conditions are identical, I send all my Candida suspects for the full battery of allergy tests if after four to five weeks on the Anti-Candida Program they’re not showing significant improvement.
Having written a program which takes their food allergies into account I also exclude all sugars, white flour, alcohol and foods containing them. This includes fruit and milk products which contain natural sugars. The naturally occurring sugar in fruit (fructose) and in milk (lactose) arc capable of sustaining Candida albicans even though white sugar, white flour and alcohol have been removed from the diet. In most cases, however, fruit need only be removed from the diet for about four weeks and milk for about six to eight weeks (providing there is no allergy to it) while the killing effect of the anti-fungal treatment takes place.
Nystatin is the anti-fungal drug that I favour to kill off Candida plants. Used in combination with the program it is very effective; used on its own it is not nearly as effective. This is because
Candida, like all noxious weeds, is a hardy little plant. Like all weeds, it at first yields to the use of a herbicide but tends to grow back after the effects of this herbicide have worn off. The only way to kill a weed is to first spray it with a powerful herbicide and then starve it of the food it lives on. Candida is no different. By removing sugars, white flour and alcohol from the diet the plant becomes malnourished and very run down. In its weakened state the Nystatin (herbicide) is able to kill it off right down to its roots.
Nystatin is a very safe drug in so much as it is not absorbed from the digestive tract into the body. It passes through the digestive tract killing the yeast on contact. Its passage is on-going and it passes out of the bowel with each bowel movement. For this reason, it must be taken two to three times per day for at least three months and in a few cases for up to a year before the colony is successfully killed. Because it is not absorbed into the body proper and has fairly rapid passage through the digestive tract, Nystatin is an effective ‘pipe cleaner’ and does much to relieve even the most stubborn of constipation problems. Raw garlic is nearly as effective at killing off Candida colonies. It takes a little longer for results and most of my patients prefer not to use it because of the breath and body odour if leaves. Even the ‘odourless’ varieties, if used for about eight weeks or more, will give off a garlic odour from the body.
If, at any time, it becomes absolutely necessary to take antibiotics take them with Nystatin powder and Lactobacillus acidophilus to negate their detrimental effects on the body.
